Meet our founder

When Kendra Mullins moved to Colorado from Nebraska in 2023, the mountains took her breath away. The vast landscapes, crisp air, and quiet trails sparked a curiosity she hadn’t felt before, inspiring her to try outdoor activities she had once hesitated to explore. She quickly discovered how transformative being in nature could be, not just for the body, but for the mind and spirit.

Excited to share this joy but hesitant to venture out alone, Kendra reached out on social media to see who else wanted to explore. What began as a group of strangers on weekend adventures soon grew into Orophile Outdoor Adventures, a community rooted in connection, exploration, and shared experiences.

Kendra believes outdoor adventures should be fun, inspiring, and safe. She brings her Wilderness First Responder, CPR/AED, and Hunter Education certifications to every hike and outing, ensuring participants can explore with confidence. Her favorite trail quote, “What goes up has to come back down,” serves as a reminder to think ahead, stay safe, and respect the challenges of the trail.

Today, Orophile is more than just a hiking group, it’s a welcoming space where everyone can discover the outdoors, make lasting connections, and experience the beauty and power of nature together.
